RELIGION & VALUES

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Each year at Sirius College, we hold a Religion and Values Fun Week for our students. This program aims to support extra-curricular activities that are new, profound and amusing as possible for the students. This year, Sirius College celebrated Religion and Values Fun Week from 03/05/2021 to 07/05/2021. Various Islamic activities were organised for the students during their classes which included recitation of Quran, Hadith and Adhan competitions. An Islamic general knowledge competition for Year 3 to Year 6 students was also offered. As R&V Week came during Ramadan this year, a Ramadan Decoration Competition was also organised for all year levels. All the classes were divided into three categories for Ramadan Decoration Competition:

Category 1: Foundation to Year 2
Category 2: Years 3 & 4
Category 3: Years 5 & 6

The winning class from category 1 is Year 2, from category 2 is Year 3 and category 3 is Year 5. All the winning classes will receive Eid festival gift vouchers.

During Religion and Values Fun Week, students also participated in activities relating to the basic Islamic religious practices e.g. belief, worship, fasting, alms giving and pilgrimage. By participating in these activities, students explored and understood the basic beliefs and learnt how Islam guides Muslims in their daily lives.

In the end, I would like to say “Eid ul Fitr Mubarak '' to all Sirius College community. May Allah bless you all and accept our fasting and prayers.
